Established in 1999, Modern Networks are the leading specialist provider of managed IT and Telecoms services to the UK’s commercial & retail property sector. We are also an independent Internet Service Provider (ISP). We work with more than thirty of the UK’s leading Managing Agents to deliver services to over 1800 of the most prestigious buildings and shopping centres across the UK. We are a Microsoft Gold Partner, Cisco Premier Partner, HP Silver Partner, and a member of the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM). In addition to our work in the property sector we also work with over 200 SMB organisations in Public Services, Industrial and a variety of other sectors.

What you'll be doing

Quite simply, you’ll be building relationships and the majority of your time will be spent meeting with our customers face to face. You’ll listen and learn about their IT and Communications needs, proactively promoting and selling the right solutions to suit.

Our customer base is nationwide, but for this role we are looking for someone to primarily support our London and the South East customer base. There is an expectation that you will have a regular presence in our Hitchin office during your early tenure to get you up to speed on our systems and processes (and to get to know your new colleagues!), and on an agreed basis in the longer term.

What makes you a great fit

  • You’ve got a proven track record in Solutions Selling, ideally within the IT or Telecoms industry, we don't sell tin!
  • You're from an MSP / ISP background and are familiar with IT channels.
  • You’re a great communicator that builds confidence through regular and clear dialogue.
  • You put the customer first - we're looking for someone to take over some of our long-term customer relationships, and we want you to be a trusted partner, not that person that calls once a quarter.
  • Your pipeline management is second to none – we need you to keep you forecast up to date!
  • You’re process driven –– we HATE dirty data! We’re looking for someone that keeps their tickets up to date and accurate.
