Our client is a leading chilled food manufacturer based in the East Midlands who are looking to recruit a Commercial Manager to manage one of their QSR/Retail accounts. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a forward thinking company that offers excellent progression opportunities.

Key Requirements

  • The Commercial Manager’s role will either be focusing on New Business or Direct Account Management of the QSR.Retail account (dependent on candidate)
  • Day to day account management or New Business opportunities
  • Tasked with increased sustainable sales growth across the agreed account portfolio
  • Administration of new launches – Internal and external
  • Attend weekly meetings to communicate customer activity to the wider business
  • Communicate price changes to the business, through product activity forms and ensure price files are accurate and up to date
  • Utilise Power BI to provide actionable reports / dashboard for customer with fast insights on category performance
  • Analyse internal data to identify trends, issues and opportunities and communicate them to the commercial team in a timely manner
  • Collate information onto the Sales & Operations tracker
  • Ensure all activity is confirmed in a timely manner, working in conjunction with the Planning team to understand the timescales and any logistical challenges
  • Update and maintain customer sales data and provide weekly insight
  • Complete and update the weekly promotional discount trackers
  • Maintain and update the commercial forecast across all sites

Person specification:

  • Knowledge and Understanding - Knowledge and understanding of FMCG business
  • Experience – previous account management experience within a comparable business
  • Functional Skills – An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.  Prior knowledge of Power BI
  • Competencies – Need to demonstrate a number of competencies:
    • strong analytical skills
    • relationship building
    • planning and organising
    • good internal / external communication (verbal and via email)
    • problem solving
