Quanta Consultancy Services Ltd is a successful international staffing consultancy, established in 1992.   The company provides specialist Contract and Permanent recruitment services to clients within very specific industry sectors across the EMEA, Americas and APAC regions. We employ +90 staff and have 4 offices: Headquarters based in Berkhamsted, UK; Ireland; The Netherlands; USA

We are making big moves in the USA within the Life Sciences market and recently opened a spanking brand new office in Raleigh, NC. This is your opportunity to grow within a startup culture but for an established business.

The role of a BDE is one that has multiple priorities that include:

  1. Developing new business contacts in the specialist industry of Biotech / Pharmaceutical / Cell & Gene Therapy in order to generate staffing opportunities.
  2. This entails a substantial amount of expert investigative and marketing work for the generation of new sales leads.  It is expected this highly skilled individual will coach internal colleagues in such techniques.

The BDE introduces and promotes the Company to potential industry specific clients in a professional manner to obtain agreement and acceptance of our services. In particular, they will continuously seek for the appropriate authorisations to supply contract staff to the client sites. The consultant will continuously look for the most efficient ways of achieving the Company goals. Therefore, they need to modify their professional style and approach whenever appropriate and stay with a problem or line of thought until the matter is settled or the objective is no longer reasonably attainable.

A day in the life of a BDE

  • Drive growth and develop the specified industries for Quanta across North America.
  • Achieve consistent and rising revenue generation within the specified industries of Biotech / Pharmaceutical / Cell & Gene Therapy.
  • Develop your specified industry sector, selling Quanta’s services and establishing yourself as leader in your field.
  • Drive the development of new clients within your target industry, by agreeing exclusive and contingent working agreements, establishing terms of business with Biotech / Pharmaceutical / Cell & Gene Therapy companies.
  • Expand your network through face to face meetings with Clients & Candidates.  Attend industry events and conferences.
  • Build talent-pools of candidate resumes and establish yourself within your target industry
  • Represent and project the best Company image at all times
  • Maintain good staff relations in terms of personal activities and to maintain the company’s interest uppermost at all times


  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar role within the staffing industries
  • Contract staffing experience.
  • Life Science recruitment industry knowledge is preferred but not necessary.
  • Initially be able to attend the office 5 days week
  • Thrive in a startup culture.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
