The Role of the New Business Account Manager:

  • The New Business Account Manager will play a key role in driving forward growth by managing and expanding our portfolio. This position requires a results-oriented individual with strong relationship-building skills to nurture some existing business and generate new opportunities within the packaging sector. Confidence in delivering presentations, effective prospecting, negotiation skills, and a service-driven mindset are essential for success in this role

Key Responsibilities of the New Business Account Manager:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and identify growth opportunities.
  • Generate new business by identifying and pursuing prospective clients.
  • Deliver compelling presentations showcasing our clients’ products and services.
  • Conduct effective prospecting through phone and face-to-face interactions.
  • Negotiate pricing, quotations, and terms to secure new business deals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients.
  • Maintain a balance between sales and service-driven approaches.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process.
  • Undertake presentations on client’s site to secure new business opportunities.
  • Devise and develop sales strategies to increase revenue streams and pipeline.

The candidate:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the packaging industry.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to nurture and grow existing business.
  • Confident in delivering presentations and engaging with clients at all levels.
  • Effective prospecting skills, both over the phone and face to face.
  • Negotiation skills with a focus on pricing and quotations.
