Job Title: Business Development Manager – Emergency Lighting and Mains Lighting Control Systems

Area to be covered: South

Remuneration: £45,000-£60,000 Neg. + 20%-40% Bonus

Benefits: £5,000 Car allowance and full benefits package

The role of the Specification Sales Manager – Emergency Lighting and Mains Lighting Control Systems will involve:

• Field sales position selling an exclusively distributed range of emergency lighting and mains lighting control systems
• Traditionally this would be a specification led role promoting emergency lighting into M&E consultants, however since the introduction of mains lighting control system portfolio it has evolved into more of a split between M&E consultants and M&E contractors
• 50/50 split new business and account management
• Utilising existing contacting within the M&E community win projects and break other manufacturers specifications for lighting
• £1million revenue target
• Project sizes from £1,000 up to £700,000
• Targeting projects within retail, education, commercial and industrial sectors

The ideal applicant will be Specification Sales Manager – Emergency Lighting and Mains Lighting Control Systems with:

• Proven field sales experience
• Technically competent
• Must have sold into M&E consultants +/or M&E contractors
• Must have sold technical/ electrical products, ideally lighting
• Contacts within the M&E community are highly desirable
• Knowledge of the patch
• High energy levels
• A hungry ‘go-getter’ who is keen to develop new business
• A reliable professional who will look to grow the patch and manage it as their own business
