Salary: up to €54,900 per year + bonus + uncapped commission + car allowance

The Business Development Manager will operate as the first point of contact for all designated Benelux locations whilst reporting to the European Commercial Manager. They will assist with consultative sales, generate new business, network at trade shows, develop and nurture relationships with key customer accounts, and keep up with the latest industry developments.

Duties:

  • Develop and execute effective strategic sales plans.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations with providers.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Establish and maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and effectively.
  • Work closely with the customer service team to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Deliver expected margin growth by achieving agreed individual and team targets / KPIs.
  • Prepare weekly reports on site opportunities and financial performance of new FY locations.
  • Build effective relationships with teams throughout the business and the wider Group, always maintaining positive and productive connections throughout.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures regarding responsible health & safety is met.
  • Act in an advisory role to report and advise on best practices when encountering potential hazards.

Candidate Requirements

  • Quantifiable experience gained in an equivalent role, with experience in the logistics industry being a bonus.
  • Fluent and strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills evident in Benelux languages with the ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form in English also.
  • Have a full, clean driving license with the willingness to undertake extensive country-wide travel and overnight stays where required. 
  • A Degree in a business management field or the equivalent would be a bonus but is not critical.
