Reporting directly into the Group Commercial Director and working closely with the UK Group MD, the UK Group Sales Director will join the Senior Leadership Team and will be responsible for delivering sales growth through a laser focused fresh eyes approach.

  • Responsible for retaining and growing existing clients across all sectors.
  • Responsible for driving the new commercial growth through clear financial targets through identifying and winning new commercial contracts within the existing database of clients.
  • Identifying products and service gaps and working with the leadership team to bring new services to the market and enhance technology offering.
  • Helping to expand the addressable market of the business by identifying the requirements of new and existing customers and developing the relationships to meet growth targets.
  • Ensuring that the business understands the needs of its customers and maximises revenue opportunities from a consultative approach to selling.
  • Development of a best-in-class sales team focused on Temporary CCTV sales across multiple sectors on a UK wide basis.
  • The UK Group Sales Director will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of the account management teams on their Fire systems ,security  and cctv intruder systems division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continue high quality working relationships with all existing clients ensuring that high retention rates are maintained and introduce upselling and cross selling opportunities.
  • Develop and own new strategic customer relationships ensuring that appropriate relationships are developed across the business.
  • Work with the existing team to improve sales effectiveness at both an individual level and by implementing best practice processes. Identification of changes required to existing team to ensure growth opportunities are capitalised on.
  • Upskilling the teams to ensure that cross selling is a key focus and opportunities for the wider business are identified and delivered effectively.
  • Co-ordinate best practice learnings from across the business to ensure practical ways of delivering continuous improvement.
  • Achievement of team financial targets as well as leading from the front and controlling the UK Groups overall revenue target.
  • Have innovative and creative input to the company strategy and ensure that new opportunities are identified, researched, and delivered to the Board.
  • Developing a strategy for new business, focussing on new commercial growth, technology enhancements and new market penetration.
  •  Proposing and assessing potential growth opportunities through geographical expansion, product adjacencies and acquisitions.
  •  Demonstrating a high level of analytical ability and the use of existing data to work within the current strategic plan with a strong commercial focus.
  • Full accountability for increasing product revenue as well as recurring revenue.
  • Use information gathered to feed into the strategy to drive the growth targets and maintain the success and reputation of the company.

Role Specification

  • Experience of the security and/or monitoring sector or selling into the B2B sector (construction, infrastructure, facilities management, or asset management) with a range of products and focus on critical rapid response services.
  •  Proven experience of delivering growth (sales and profit) in SME environments. Ability to clearly link personal achievements to value creation for the business and shareholders.
  • Ability to demonstrate improvements to sales processes and adopting best in class standards.
  • Track record of outstanding sales leadership as well as wider business leadership. Be influential and challenge the status quo to support the high net growth, but mindful of the need to manage change.
  • Ability to balance leadership with delivery of personal goals and targets.
  • Able to initiate, shape and apply strategic thought.
  •  Experience of successfully integrating sales teams.
  • Experienced in solution sales with an understanding of how to leverage sales, network and create winning relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • An initiative-taker who is confident to challenge, instigate detailed discussions about ideas and opportunities and can maintain high energy.
  • Effective people skills with the ability to build rapport with customers both externally and internally.

 Location and Travel:

The role is national, based from home with an expectation of attending the Birmingham office for meetings etc.

 Candidates must be willing and able to work throughout the UK.
