Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing distribution and logistics specialist, is seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to join their team, covering the Yorkshire region. This is a permanent position with excellent growth opportunities and a chance to make a significant impact in the company.

Role & Responsibilities:

The Business Development Manager will enhance the already lucrative sales performance; identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, negotiating contracts and driving growth across all storage, fulfilment, logistical training and final miles solutions.

  • Identify new business opportunities and leads within the targeted industries
  • Develop and implement strategic sales and business development plans
  • Establish and lead the end to end sales process
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  • Negotiate and close business deals to achieve sales targets
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of projects
  • Update the CRM to ensure pipeline is maintained and achieved
  • Represent the company at events, trade shows and conferences to promote brand awareness
  • Produce reports for senior management on sales activities, market trends and competitior analysis

Skills, Experience and Qualities:

  • Proven experience in a business development role within the freight industry
  • Motivated and results driven
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Understanding of market trends and customer needs in the transportation sector
  • Full UK driving licence
