Job Purpose

This is an utterly exceptional opportunity to leverage our supplier Marketplace to build an unparalleled indirect sales channel for Constellia – securing the support of the sales teams of all our suppliers in promoting our service.

This will be done by building the strongest of relationships with key suppliers (selected from the current 1,500+ companies with a focus on professional services and construction), encouraging them to work collaboratively with Constellia and make us their preferred route to market – driving service standards for our clients and Constellia’s revenues.

The Person

Someone with several years’ experience working within business development, relationship management or partnership management for a big brand service provider. They must be able to:

  • Understand the needs and motivators for supplier sales teams.
  • Segment out suppliers to identify those which can materially drive our growth.
  • Engage effectively with the senior team at such suppliers (whether a big brand or boutique) and rapidly educate them regarding why they should do business with us and “sell us”.
  • More than that, have the character (being both engaging and reliable) that suppliers will want to do business with them – building long term relationships will be critical.
  • Drive revenues by understanding the potential of supplier sales teams as an indirect sale channel.
  • Demonstrate experience of and an understanding of how Procurement works (the good and the bad).
  • Work effectively in both the private and public sector.
  • Be able to define what a true “partnership” is and build them.

Note that we are not looking for a procurement professional – supplier compliance etc is managed separately. The person sought will have worked “supplier side” and as such understand how to work effectively in their world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing strategy for supplier driven sales.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for all suppliers and identifying an individual at all suppliers which will act as theirs.
  • Support the Constellia team with our procurement service delivery, supplier queries and issue resolution.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Must be highly target/sales focused.
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
  • Great interpersonal, written and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to multitask, working at pace whilst maintaining focus on detail.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Customer facing, stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience of using CRM systems.
