Job Summary:
The Group Sales manager – Existing Business is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the entire sales administration function across the group, driving interdepartmental efficiency, and spearheading the growth of key house accounts, including the management and expansion of key product lines. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a proven track record in sales growth and interdepartmental collaboration. The Group Sales manager – Existing Business will also have an individual sales target, ensuring that personal contributions align with the sales and marketing plan, as well as overall company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and mentor the internal sales administration team, ensuring high levels of performance, motivation, and professional development.
Strategic Sales Administration:
- Oversee and refine the sales administration processes across the group, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with company goals.
- Implement and monitor KPIs to measure the performance of the sales administration team and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure that Salesforce and other relevant tools are utilised effectively for order processing, customer management, and reporting.
Interdepartmental Liaison and Coordination:
- Drive interdepartmental communication and collaboration, ensuring that departments work together seamlessly.
- Coordinate and lead regular interdepartmental meetings and reviews to discuss ongoing projects, challenges, and opportunities for process improvement.
Existing Account Growth:
- Develop and implement strategies to grow key house accounts, focusing on upselling, cross-selling, and customer satisfaction.
- Actively manage and expand key business lines, identifying new opportunities and ensuring that they or exceed growth targets, in line with the sales and marketing plan.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
Analytical and Reporting Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present comprehensive sales reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and strategic recommendations.
- Monitor the effectiveness of sales initiatives and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Process Improvement and Innovation:
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements across the sales administration function to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Communication and Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the sales administration team and other departments, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
- Communicate effectively with senior management, providing updates on sales performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives.
Ideal Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a senior sales administration or sales management role, preferably within a large, fast -growing SME.
- High proficiency in Salesforce and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated success in managing and growing key accounts, with experience in the woven high performance textiles or related industries being highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development, motivation, and achieving results.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a broader leadership team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Work Environment:
- This is an Office-based role with regular interaction with other departments.
- May require occasional travel to key customer sites or group locations.
