Area to be covered: London & South East 

Remuneration: £50,000 - £60,000 + £10,000 commission + Company Bonus

£5,500 car allowance or salary sacrifice EV & comprehensive benefits

The role of the Specification Sales Manager – Lighting Switch & Socket will involve:

• Field sales role promoting a manufactured range of lighting switch, socket and building controls
• Specification role, 70-80% A&D architect and interior designer led (winning and breaking competitor project specifications)
• Remainder of time managing relationships with lighting designers, main contractors, M&E consultants and M&E contractors
• Targeting projects with high end residential, hospitality, commercial and heritage buildings
• Typical project sizes £100,000-£150,000 (range from £30,000-£500,000)
• Year one target of £750,000 specifications written, £1m year two
• Typically specification sales managers should have a pipeline of £3m-£4m over a 12-18 month period, with a view to converting circa 30%
• Due to our clients’ name and reputation to the market, this is predominantly an account development position
• Replying to RFQs
• Supported by technical and product development teams
• Solving design, functionality and cost-related challenges
• Conduct presentations/ provide technical support

The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager – Lighting Switch & Socket with:

• Must have A&D architect and interior design project specification  field sales experience
• Open to all interior/ fit out product backgrounds
• Preferably with a network of contacts within the A&D architect and interior design community
• Specific knowledge of lighting switch, socket and building controls is not essential as full product training will be provided
• High end residential, hospitality, commercial and heritage buildings sector experience may be advantageous
• Vibrate, energetic and full of life
• Highly organised and capable
• IT Literate
