We are currently seeking a Key Account Manager to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Peterborough. This is an office-based role for a talented, organised team player who can communicate effectively with clients, suppliers and staff members. This role requires a high level of initiative and problem-solving skills.

Key duties and responsibilities....

  • Ensuring clients maintain and increase their current spend levels
  • A level of technical understanding of the product and how it is used is essential to the success of this role so that relevant advice can be provided to clients.
  • The role is linked to the field based sales team who you would be expected to support whilst they are out of the office process any orders and carry out other tasks on their behalf as required.
  • Communicating with clients by telephone and email
  • Involves order taking/processing, quotation follow up and meeting clients needs and enquiries via your own research and resourcefulness. is encouraged.

Requirements

  • A proactive approach
  • A working knowledge of carpentry, the construction or a keen interest in DIY is highly desirable.
  • Working to deadlines, and a good understanding of IT
  • Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability in problem-solving and negotiation

Monday – Friday 8am-5pm
