Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Indoor & Outdoor Tiles

Industry Sector: Porcelain, Ceramics, Indoor Tiles, Outdoor/ Landscaping Tiles, Builders Merchants, Kitchen and Bathroom Showrooms, Tile Shops

Area to be covered: Scotland

Remuneration: £45,000 Neg. + 15%-20% Bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Indoor & Outdoor Tiles will involve:

• Field sales role selling a distributed range of ceramic and porcelain indoor and outdoor  tiles as well as grouts and adhesives
• Selling independent builders merchants, kitchen & bathroom showrooms and tile retailers
• Taking over an area achieving £1.5m+
• Tasked with achieving 10% year on year growth
• Typically three days a week on the road visiting customers, 2 days working from home setting appointments/ admin etc.
• Predominantly an account management role
• Responsible for circa 200 branches (including Jewson branches)

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Indoor & Outdoor Tiles with:

• Ideally field sales experience from the tile industry
• If not sold tiles, must have sold into independent builders merchants or kitchen & bathroom showrooms
• Robust and proven account management/ account development experience
• Excellent territory planning skills
• Customer focussed, personable character with excellent relationship building skills
• Ability to sell it what can be at time a “spit and sawdust” environment, whilst also maintaining your professionalism
• Ability to cold call to arrange meetings
• Must be IT literate
