Area Sales Manager – Industrial Coatings – Midlands – Ref 2407

Are you a Sales Engineer or Sales Manager with experience in selling industrial coatings, protective coatings, metal pre-treatments, lubricants or similar?

As an Area Sales Manager you will be responsible for managing Key Accounts; maintaining and developing relationships and promoting the company's products and services, as well as sourcing and on-boarding new clients, securing and winning new business for the company. You will be covering the Midlands (from Norwich, and across to Birmingham and all of Wales), travelling out to clients 3-4 days a week, working from home 1-2 days a week.

Responsibilities as an Area Sales Manager:  

• Conduct meetings with new and existing customers.
• Plan relevant call objective for every customer meeting in line with customer needs, situation appraisal and business priorities.
• Actively source new business opportunities in the Midlands across a wide platform of sectors and industries for the purpose of selling the products and services of the client. 
• Achieve set revenue and new business targets & key performance indicators.
• Conduct product trials with customer from inception through to close working collaboratively with technical team.
• Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities and competitors.
• Prepare and present professional proposals for existing and prospective customers.
• Prepare and present detailed analysis of the performance of your territory and customer base in sales meetings and across the business where needed.

Candidate Profile:

• Area Sales Manager or similar experience.
• Technical or Engineering background, ideally with any understanding or knowledge of the industrial paint/coatings industry or similar (chemicals, lubricants etc)
• Based anywhere in the Midlands. Happy to travel to client sites 3 days a week.

In return our client is offering a salary in the region of £35,000 - £40,000, uncapped monthly bonus, Laptop, Car Allowance £5,000 p/a.
