Job Title:
UK Sales Training Manager

Role Purpose:

Responsible for developing and delivering an annual training plan as agreed with the Director of Marketing and Medical Director, to ensure high competency levels across all regional teams and to help deliver the company’s commercial goals.

To work with sales management and marketing to implement training and development programmes to help drive effectiveness within the team.

Planning, evolving and implementing a comprehensive Initial Training Course (ITC) for new sales personnel and for those moving into new job roles within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• To assist the Marketing Department in the development of product training materials aligned to the brand plans
• To review individual appraisal forms, PDP documents and field visit forms etc. to ensure the training delivered is relevant and meets the needs of the individual as well as identifying trends for groups within the organisation
• To conduct coaching field visits with members of the team as identified in conjunction with Business Management
• To support the transition of new starters from their initial training (ITC) into the field during their first four weeks within the business. This includes the running, overseeing and administering of the ITCs.
• To influence and support training requirements at National and Regional sales meetings.
• To work collaboratively to develop and deliver required training across sales teams. This can include the development of e-learning courses and workshops.
• To hold regular reviews and ensure monitoring processes are in place to confirm the effectiveness of the training in achieving the initial goals
• To coordinate plans and maintain a record of the completion of the ABPI code of practice exam for all new starters
• Ensure that agreed training plans and programmes are delivered within the approved training department budget.

Expectations:
• Proven experienced in learning, training and development as a Training Manager.
• Current knowledge of effective learning methods.
• Experience in project management and budgeting in lean operations.
• Proactive and accountable with a clear drive for completion and delivery
• Outstanding communication skills, non-verbally and written.
• Proficient in IT and able to utilise to maximum effect.
• Assertive and confident and able to deal with confidential matters.
• Excellent people management skills & organisational skills.
• Can demonstrate a high level of accuracy with good analytical skills.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Must be based at UK Head Office.
• Ideally ABPI qualified but not essential. Sound understanding of UK pharmaceutical industry.
