Freight Forwarding Sales Executive


Our client is currently looking for a Freight Forwarding Sales Executive who has a passion for sales, building relationships and strong communication skills. You will be responsible for prospecting, engaging and closing new accounts, along with building and maintaining relationships with a customer base.

Job Type: Full time, home & field based

Responsibilities:

  • Focus and drive to achieve targets
  • Identify sales opportunities whilst profiling all new businesses to understand intricately how we can support with freight / customs
  • Represent the company in the best possible light with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactively scope new business opportunities
  • Track & manage the CRM system, ensuring ongoing liaison with existing clients & follow up of prospective customers
  • Demonstrate a track record of developing and enhancing current client portfolios
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers and overseas agents
  • Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge
  • Display excellent communication skills that include the ability to influence and negotiate where required

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years in logistics/freight sales.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills. Sales experience preferred.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
  • The ability to learn quickly and work efficiently as productivity goals must be met.
  • Good organizational skills as this position requires working with multiple departments and following up with clients and prospects.
  • Proficient in CRM is a plus.  
  • Some business travel may be required.
