Salary - £70k+ basic plus very competitive commission structure, £5k car allowance

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a niche & very successful business providing a Managed Service to the NHS.

This role would certainly benefit from a candidate with previous experience within or providing a service for the NHS with a least 5 years sales experience in a similar role.

The Head of Sales defines, articulates and implements the business strategy for selling our services. You will develop forecasts and strategies to achieve sales at price levels to ensure profitability whilst actively seeking out major customers and form good relationships with key influencers and supply chain.
You should keep abreast of industry trends, market and competitors' activities, and serve as a business representative and you will lead presentations for business development and be involved in meetings with key business stakeholders.

You are a team leader who is able to motivate and ensure a highly effective team of Business Development Managers, Account Managers and Administration Support staff.
You will have strong influencing, problem-solving and negotiation skills and must have a good understanding of market demand and customer purchasing behaviour.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define the New Business and account retention strategies.
  • Develop a comprehensive Sales Plan to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Develop sales policies that reflect the Company values.
  • Lead, direct, motivate and inspire a team in generating proposals that define a clear path to client satisfaction and revenue growth.
  • Manage the sales team to ensure that they are developed, and objectives are set to guide performance.
  • Embed the Company values across all members of the Sales team.
  • Establish Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and guidelines to manage customer relationships.
  • Foster relationships with new partners to achieve desired revenue.
  • Influence senior stakeholders, clients, and premier buyers in the industry.
  • Investigate factors impacting sales performance.
  • Leverage innovations to maximize revenue.
  • Monitor changes in the industry and leverage them to maximize business opportunities.
  • Outline objectives in key target areas such as sales volume, market share, distribution channels and profit margins to guide performance.
  • Participate in forums to keep abreast of new changes in the industry and practices.
  • Promote positive relationships with major customers to understand their needs.
  • Provide advice when preparing bid documents and integrated proposals for key accounts.
  • Provide input on sales incentive structure and key performance indicators to help monitor targets.
  • Provide input to the Contract process, manage progress and drive performance in meeting deadlines.
  • Recommend changes in pricing structures across product lines and products.
  • Review sales performance by analysing performance reports.
  • Produce daily, weekly and monthly management reports.
  • Maintain ISO standards of working
