JOB TITLE: Sales Coordinator

(You may have worked as a Customer Service Administrator, Sales Administrator, Client Relationship Manager / Sales Support Executive, Sales Executive, Customer Service Advisor, Lead Generator or any other role where you have had to support a sales team with lead sourcing / administration / client care / bids / tenders / business proposals).

LOCATION: Yeovil, Somerset

SALARY: Up to £28,000 PA

HOURS: Permanent, Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm.

THE ROLE: Reporting into the Sales and Marketing Director, you will work closely with them and the Business Development Manager to identify potential leads and generate new business. You will be responsible for supporting the sales team in identifying and converting new business opportunities, coordinating sales administrative duties and providing a central point of communication for the wider business.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the team to coordinate multiple in order to maximize the new business opportunity conversion.
  • Review tender portals, framework databases and public sector channels for potential opportunities, updating pipeline and outlining opportunity to all stakeholders in readiness for bid/no bid process.
  • Assist the Sales & Marketing team in developing client proposals, presentations and pitch materials to present the business to prospective clients.
  • Contribute towards the compilation of tender submissions through research of the business tendering resource base.
  • Maintain consistent and professional relationships with clients.
  • Attend client meetings and appropriate trade events, seminars, shows and related industry networking.
  • Identify and highlight potential leads & LinkedIn contacts to grow the network and generate leads by connecting and following up messaging.
  • Pro-actively grow the network of contacts by developing and enhancing CRM sales database - gathering, populating and maintaining accurate contact data.
  • Day-to-day admin activities such as managing Sales Team calendars, coordinating meetings, arranging access, collating notes, setting up new folders, downloading tender documentation and ensuring client folders are kept up to date.
  • Manage and maintain an accurate record of all relevant business and project expenditure throughout the sales cycle.
  • Monitor client satisfaction levels and tender feedback to identify successes, lessons learned, and areas of opportunity.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:

  • Sound working knowledge of MS Office - particularly Outlook, Word and Excel as well as knowledge of how to effectively use CRM systems.
  • Experience supporting a sales team with a variety of duties lending to the success of securing future business.
  • Strong organisational skills and time management to be able to successfully support the team with the generation of client proposals / bids and sales opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with key stakeholders at various levels.
  • Willingness to travel with the team for the purpose of networking - trade events / seminars etc.
