Are you an enthusiastic sales professional looking to work for a global organisation? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to manage a defined portfolio of customers in the Pharma and Healthcare business unit. You will be required to proactively drive the promotion, development, and growth of the business across agreed customers, which will be a mix of Pharma, Medical, Nutraceutical and Formulating players.   

This is a full-time temporary to permanent role working for our thriving client based in Hertford. Our client offers hybrid working (2 days in the office) along with n attractive salary of £30,000 - £32,000 depending on experience. The working hours are 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday and candidates must have a full UK Driving Licence and have their own mode of transport. Mileage and expenses will be reimbursed for client visits.

Principal Accountabilities

  • In agreement with the Business manager, manage a defined customer base.
  • Via both External & Internal means, handle customer requests and enquiries.
  • Gather, analyse, interpret, and present market, product, competitor and industry data as required, to support development of the forward strategy of the business.
  • Provide cover where appropriate for Sales Managers during periods of holiday absence and travel.
  • Manage, develop, and understand the needs of the customer base and maintain relationships with key contacts at all relevant levels.
  • Generate sales and margin growth by actively following up on price quotations and ensure calls, quotes, leads and opportunities are maintained in CRM.
  • Understand and employ commercial strategy of the department to optimize margins. Alert and discuss price issues at customers with the Business Manager and Head of Product Management.
  • Administer customer price increases, liaising with Principal Managers to ensure effective implementation.
  • Interact with customers actively to support Credit Control with any overdue invoices.
  • Become proficient in your knowledge of all the Sectors within Pharma and Healthcare
  • Any other duties as requested by the Business manager that are appropriate to the role.

  • A BSc degree would be preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a structured approach to work.
  • The commitment to challenge yourself personally and develop new skills.
  • The ability to adapt to new requirements and have a flexible approach to working under pressure.
  • Very good IT skills (Microsoft Office, D365 CRM and ERP).
