We are looking for an ambitious, motivated Area Account Manager / Business Development Manager who gets a real buzz from growing large existing client accounts (70%) & targeting & converting new clients (30%) You will be appointed your own dedicated Internal Account Manager to help manage your clients.
You will be working for one of the UK’s largest independent wholesalers covering the Hospitality, Catering, Education and Contract cleaning sectors. This is a home-based role with weekly office visits in Ringwood, Dorset.
Responsibilities of the Area Account Manager:
- Maintain good, solid existing customer relationships
- Maximise sales to individual accounts to achieve sole supply
- Introduce new products to customers where applicable and extend the product
- Prepare quotations and subsequently convert potential customers into new accounts
- Liaise with customer service support, purchasing and credit control when necessary.
Skills & Characteristics of the Area Account Manager:
- Ambitious, motivated, enthusiastic
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent ability to build relationships
