Ingersoll Rand Pumps, operating under the Precision and Science Technologies, manufacture pumps for many different markets and pumping solutions for many applications., there have been pump manufacturing in Ilkeston since 1977.

Job Summary

As the customer experience and inside sales specialist, you will play a pivotal role in critical commercial functions of our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless provision of pre- and post-sales support to existing and potential customers, leveraging your knowledge of Ingersoll Rand Pumps, MP Pumps, and Oberdorfer products (or comparable positive displacement pump solutions) and their diverse applications. You will also actively manage customers from an inside sales perspective to identify and execute on incremental growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Application resolution
  • Examining projects and sizing pump opportunities
  • Quotation and follow up
  • ERP, CRM and customer support ticket management systems

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or similar field or equivalent work experience
  • +5 years of customer support and inside sales experience a plus
  • Proven experience in applications and commercial support, preferably within the positive displacement pump industry or other industrial products sold business-to-business (B2B)

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

  • Ability to travel as required to deliver pre and post-sales support (estimated 10%)
  • 90% facility based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.

Key Competencies

  • Demonstrated strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Exceptional customer relationship management skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Proficiency in using ERP, CRM and customer support ticket management systems is highly preferred
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
