RMS has partnered with a leading company in the Bristol area specialising in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Storage. We are currently seeking a dynamic Sales and Commercial Manager to lead our sales team to success.

About the Role:

As a Sales and Commercial Manager, your primary responsibility is to maintain existing accounts while driving UK turnover growth across all business scopes with new and existing customers. You will be instrumental in developing, evolving, and launching new logistical and operational services to meet our business development targets

Key responsibilities of this role may include but is not limited to:

  • Managing customer accounts in line with contractual commitments (SLA, Commercial pricing, and negotiation)
  • Developing customer accounts with a focus on cost efficiency (Tender management)
  • Cultivating existing and new sales leads through face to face meetings and maintaining a lead diary
  • Collaborating on budgeting, margin analysis, and contributions with relevant departments/ colleagues.
  • Monitoring service implementation according to specifications and coordinating KPIs across internal departments
  • Coordinating subcontractor activities and leading commercial proposals/negotiations.
  • Constructing and managing sales prices for UK Services
  • Building and executing the UK Development budget
  • Conducting competitive intelligence on the logistics market
  • Identifying potential markets and new products.
  • Developing promotional materials in collaboration with UK Personnel and the group marketing manager.
  • Ensuring the quality of work aligns with client requirements and internal standards.

This role involves a mix of office and field work, requiring a valid driving license for travel to other company locations. Working hours are 9am-5pm during office times.

About You:

  • Previous experience in the finished vehicle logistical market is highly desirable.
  • Experience and knowledge of KPI Management are essential
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong – Problem solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with manufacturing/sales, logistics and reporting IT Systems
  • Experience in constructing and delivering presentation using MS PowerPoint.
  • A valid driving license for occasional travel across company branches.
