The company are offering £23-27k but if you have experience in a sales function within the freight industry they are willing to offer a higher salary based on specific experience.

Overview of the Sales Executive:

The primary function of the Sales Executive is to sell customer freight solutions on behalf of the business. The position will involve a high volume of cold calling and new business prospecting as well as customer interactions, customer service and account management.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Proactive in initiating sales calls to prospective or current clients
  • Prospect for leads and perform cold-calling to build a pipeline of businesses
  • Supervise accounts daily to retain existing relationships
  • Responsible for price and service negotiation with customers and carriers
  • Responsible for creating sales goals to aid in achieving targets
  • Relationship building with clients and prospects
  • Nurture new sales leads to secure business
  • Responsible for offering quotes to current and prospective clients
  • Carry out research to identify companies not currently doing business with the organisation


The successful Sales Executive will have:

  • Freight, shipping or logistics sales experience is a very strong advantage to the role
  • Strong track record for delivering successful sales experience in personal selling, telephone sales, and customer service
  • Sociable personality with great relationship building skills
  • Knowledge of sales CRM
