Telesales Manager

£30,000 - £32,000 + up to £3K Bonus OTE, Burgess Hill, 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday, 20 days holiday + BH, company pension, onsite parking, discounted or free food, cycle to work scheme, employee discount, health & wellbeing programme.

The Role

Due to an internal promotion, we are delighted to be supporting our wonderful retail-based client in their search for a Telesales Manager to join their busy sales team. This role will be responsible for managing and inspiring a team of sales agents alongside developing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers. Working primarily from our clients' Burgess Hill depot, you will over see the management of the sales teams in Burgess Hill and in Kent (visiting the Kent site approximately one day a month) and play a crucial role in driving the sales strategy for the business. The telesales team are responsible for ensuring frequent contact with existing and lapsed B2B customers in the food retail space - there isn't any cold calling in the department, but they do directly sell products to their customers, alert them to promotions and cross and upsell other products in our client's range.

Duties will include:

  • Day to day management of internal telesales teams (4 in off-peak, up to 8 in peak season) including:
    • Setting individual and team goals
    • Conducting regular 1-2-1 performance reviews
    • Training, coaching and inspiring
  • Maintain relationships with key existing clients
  • Support the team in identifying new opportunities and markets to grow the business
  • Developing and generating reports on the sales performance of the team, identifying areas of improvement and offering suggestions to improve the team

Requirements

To be successful in the role of Telesales Manager, we are looking for someone who has experience leading a team in a sales environment. You will have great leadership skills, a real people person with an ability to inspire and lead a team. You will be motivated to drive results and goal oriented, looking to always meet and exceed targets. This role could suit someone who has worked as a Sales Manager, Sales Team Leader, Telesales Coach.
