This award wining business offers its clients supply chain and manufacturing solutions from its base in Telford.  Established for 21 years, they are continually developing their brand and to ensure they continue to grow their relationships with their customers and suppliers.

Due to growth, they a have a new vacancy for a Sales Administrator to join their team.

The Sales Administrator is responsible for the efficient and accurate day-to-day administration of all aspects of the sales function, from lead identification, through to manufacturing production and ongoing support.

A predominantly office-based role, you will be key to helping the ‘on-the-road’ sales team accelerate customer acquisition, ensure customer retention and improve customer account growth, contributing to delivering the company’s 5-year brand vision and profitable growth targets.

This is an influential customer and supplier facing role, key to the commitment to delivering the best experience of subcontract manufacturing in China and the UK. You’ll need strong organisational, time-management, teamworking and communication skills, as well as a passion for delivering impressive supply chain customer experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Help research, develop and manage lead and prospect data.
  • Work closely with marketing to deliver sales materials and campaigns, e.g. social, eMarketing, direct marketing, presentations etc.
  • Manage enquiries and supplier quotations (China and the UK). Collate information, check for accuracy, and streamline quotation process. Help identify and resolve production and operational issues.
  • Receive and process purchase orders, liaising with engineering and operations for smooth and timely handovers from sales to production.
  • Contact customers and suppliers by phone or email to give progress updates, answer queries, obtain missing information, maintain supply schedules, manage slow-moving stock and stay in touch.
  • Maintain and update sales and customer records, utilising various systems, including Microsoft office,) the in-house CRM and ERP (Microsoft Dynamics Navision).
  • Run monthly and ad hoc sales reports, as required.
  • Expedite queries and orders, as well as help with issue resolution, through effective and supportive internal liaison with engineering, operations and other business departments, as necessary.
  • Support the sales department with other administrative tasks, as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in Sales Administration or Internal Sales, be detail orientated and be able to communicate effectively.
