Our client is a community educational provider seeking to recruit an Education Course Co-ordinator for a fixed term 3 month contract (ending July 31st) .  You do not require an Education background for this role  but you do need to be great at “selling” or communicating the benefits of the courses to employers/partners.

In this exciting role you will play an active role in supporting adults embarking on ESOL (English for speakers of other languages), functional skills and other pre-entry level courses as well as liaising with employers and other partners. You will be working with a passionate team and making a tremendous difference to your local community. As an Education Course Co-ordinator working in a supportive culture, you will:

  • Meet/contact employers and other partners to discuss the ESOL course (training provided) - on average 2 days per week travelling to Leeds and ideally the Calderdale area too.
  • Scope out local venues (for delivery of  courses) and negotiate prices to suit partner budgets
  • Monitor the paperwork associated with the tutors delivering the courses to ensure the relevant course registration is being completed correctly.
  • Support the Adult Learning Contract Manager.

To be successful you must have good stakeholder management skills as you will be discussing the benefits of these courses to employers and partners. You will also enjoy working remotely although you can work in the Leeds office if preferred. You may have experience as a tutor, teacher, L&D environment or  just have great stakeholder management skills in a professional environment.

You must have good organisational and prioritisation skills as you juggle learner and employers/partners paperwork and requirements etc

This is a remote based role with travel across Leeds  and ideally the Calderdale area too.

  • Salary – up to £32k pro rata (for a fixed term contract to 31st July). This role may or may  not continue as this is for a specific funding contract.
