This is an outstanding opportunity for a SALES ENGINEER with experience of metal finishing or treatment to join a well established SMETHWICK BASED  Engineering Business providing METAL FINISHING services to the engineering & manufacturing sectors.

You will be working from a buzzing, newly refurbished, office environment while both visiting and receiving customers in person.

Salary is entirely negotiable depending on experience but we anticipated a basic in the region of £30k - £35k plus benefits package.

As a SALES ENGINEER within this business your will undertake the following key activities:

• Face to face customer meetings
• Balance new business development with account management
• Develop and execute your own sales strategy
• Identify and pursue potential new customers, business leads and enquiries
• Nurture and build both new and established customer relationships
• Achieve performance and activity targets on a weekly basis
• Maintaining customer database and records
• Progress chasing

For your application as a SALES ENGINEER to be successful, you should clearly describe your experience along with the following key skills and attributes:

• Experience in a field or office based, business to business selling role
• Metal treatment or metal finish process knowledge eg anodising, plating, powder coating, galvanising or similar.
• Financially & commercially astute
• Skilled communicator and strong, opportunistic negotiator
• Self-motivated and structured with a target driven approach
• Some experience of developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies
• Computer & social media literate

This SALES ENGINEER position will ideally suit a systematic and motivated self starter with a background in selling metal finishing services within the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
