Pure is seeking a vibrant and results-oriented Sales Director to join a prominent manufacturing company based in Suffolk.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Contribution: Understand and contribute to the business goals and strategic vision of the company.
Business Development: Manage and support Business Development Managers (BDMs) to achieve business goals, including mentoring, development, and customer visits.
Market Awareness: Stay abreast of market trends, evolving customer needs, and competitor activity to inform business strategies.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Research and Development (R&D) and Technical Departments to identify and develop new and emerging markets
Leadership: Demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire the team towards achieving objectives.
Marketing Strategy: Define marketing strategy in collaboration with the board, and work with the Marketing Manager to execute plans effectively. Review and manage marketing messages to target markets.
Team Management: Oversee administrative staff and their functions, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), day-to-day queries, requests for information, job quoting, and samples.
Pricing Strategy: Take responsibility for setting pricing to achieve desired margins.
Performance Reporting: Report to the Board on the performance of the Sales Department against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
 
Qualification and Skills:
  • Proven experience in sales and marketing management, within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent understanding of business goals and the ability to align strategies accordingly.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Ability to analyse market trends and competitor activity.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in setting pricing strategies and achieving desired margins.
  • Experience in reporting performance against KPIs.
