Our client is looking for (Korean Speaking) Retail Management and Market Analytics Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in optimising retail operations and driving strategic decision making through data analysis. As the main coordinator for Retail Management (RM) projects, you will lead initiatives with Product Managers, Field Force, Sales, and Retail Marketing to enhance our product presence, and identify growth opportunities in our retail channels. you will generate market insights via third party data supplier (GfK), conduct market sensing and analysis to support senior management in marking informed decisions. This is no ending contract. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Insight Generation and Market Sensing: Generate insights, conduct market sensing and analysis, and propose Retail Management critical metrics to ensure smooth execution and sustainable business growth. Evaluate sales performance versus competitors’ activities, and own Competitor Price Index (CPI) analysis to provide recommendations to Product Managers to develop effective pricing strategies to remain competitive and maximise profit.
  • Optimisation & Efficiency Analysis: Lead optimisation efforts and efficiency analysis, utilising data-driven insights to select and suggest account-specific candidates. Drive improvements in  performance and inventory management.
  • Store selection for New Launches & Premium Placement: Strategically select stores for new product launches and premium placement, building tools such Premium Store Index to maximise visibility and sales potential.
  • Weekly RM Key Performance Indicator (critical metric) Monitoring: Oversee weekly monitoring of RM KPIs, including Run Rate, Stock-out, Dead inventory, ensuring timely insights into performance metrics. Conduct regular monlty/quaterly RM reporting to track progress and identify area of improvement.
  • Organisation of Weekly RM Day Meetings: Own and organise weekly RM Day meetings, bringing together teams from Field Force, Product Management (PM), Sales, and Supply Chain Management (SCM) to align on objectives, strategies, and actions plans.

Skills and attributes:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Excellent skills and qualities, including analytical agility, deep insight into UK retailers dynamics, strategic vision
  • 5 years experience in retail management and market analysis 
  • technical proficiency with GfK, Excel, and Power BI,
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • commercial foresight, cultural adaptability, effective communication, and innovative thinking.
  • Korean speaking
  • Min 5 yeras experience within consumer industry
