My client has created a new role to lead their sales function in the UK and the world. They are a global manufacturing business, operating within the Automotive, OEM, including off highway, marine, oil & gas sectors.

As Head of Sales, you will take ownership for the growth of specific product ranges and territories playing a key role in the future success of the business.

Working alongside the Global Sales Director you will be responsible for delivering the sales strategy, pricing structures, and for analysing market trends and customer spending habits.

As Head of Sales, you will be responsible for driving the growth and success of the company through strategic sales initiatives and partnerships. This is a leadership role that requires strong sales skills, the ability to analyse market trends, and the expertise to manage a small team of BDM's.

This role is directly involved in winning new business and growing existing and developing new accounts you will be accountable for the sales performance of the function.

Overview of duties

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and relationship building
  • Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative sales strategies and solutions
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify areas for growth and improvement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management
  • Covering the UK and our Global territories.

About you

  • Experienced in selling engineered components, concepts, and or solutions must be within Automotive, Aerospace and or industrial sectors.
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets with a successful background of hunting new business and development new customers.
  • Solid man-management skills and can effectively lead from the front but has a hand on approach to business development.
  • Commercial and savvy, able to pitch commercial pricing strategies to our new and existing global customers.
  • Professional and is at ease presenting sales presentation senior managers.
  • Must have a background spent within target markets (automotive, aerospace, engineering solutions) Only applications with this background will be selected for an interview.
  • Flexible to travel to UK, Europe, and Global customers.

Must be UK based, ideally can travel to our company site for ad hoc regular meetings.
