The Role

Our client is leading the charge in revolutionising in-store promotions with their award-winning Point of Sale (POS) Solutions. Their unwavering commitment to excellence and customer-centric approach makes them the go-to choice for top brands. As the Senior Account Manager, reporting directly to the Sales Director Display, you'll be at the forefront of driving growth and seizing sales opportunities with key multinational FMCG customers. Your role is crucial in leading senior relationships, optimising structural design, and securing new business sales with industry leaders.

Your responsibilities include managing existing accounts, forging new business relationships, and maintaining stellar customer satisfaction. Collaborating seamlessly with internal teams, you'll craft strategic business plans and provide precise sales forecasting to drive success. They are seeking individuals with a deep understanding of Display market requirements, impeccable communication skills, and a knack for selling to major brand owners. Proficiency in project management and data analysis is essential for this role. Regular travel between their sites and customers within the UK and Europe is required for this role.

Key job requirements 

Essential characteristics:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively influence stakeholders and build rapport.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a diplomatic approach to handling complex situations and resolving issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work output.
  • Proven track record in managing complex FMCG customers, demonstrating proficiency in sales strategies and achieving targets.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Analytically minded individual, comfortable with interpreting complex data and systems to make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated commercial awareness with a keen understanding of market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Confident decision-maker capable of making strategic decisions to drive business growth.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams, demonstrating confidence and assertiveness in leadership roles.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office products for effective communication and data analysis.

Desirable characteristics:

  • Familiarity with display market requirements and the UK retailer environment, or a willingness to learn and grow in this area.
  • Understanding of the role of structural design and manufacturing costs for display products, providing insights into market solutions.
  • Ability to manage projects effectively, communicating with customers and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Experience in maintaining excellent customer relationships and influencing growth, with proficiency in managing customer SLAs and account plans.
  • Experience working with multinational customers and familiarity with international business practices.
  • Proficiency in additional languages relevant to European markets, facilitating communication with customers and internal teams during travel within Europe.
