As a successful IT Sales Account Manager you will have previous experience of managing both existing and new business, maximising sales and profitability, and be able to demonstrate a track record of selling infrastructure and networking solutions. You will be working towards satisfying your customers’ needs and requests, responding to their queries and delivering a positive experience.
The role will require an understanding of current IT issues and an appreciation of Cloud technologies, SAN and Blade Technology. Working alongside the main IT vendors, personal accreditations with Cisco, HP, Microsoft or similar would be valued.
You will also possess drive, determination and the presentation and communication skills to liaise, pitch and influence at senior levels whilst representing the company positively and professionally. Ultimately, will help to grow the business by building successful, long-term client relationships.
This is a hybrid role paying a salary of up to £38,000 depending on experience + uncapped commission. The office is located just a short walk from Watford Junction.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success
- Develop positive relationships with clients
- Act as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs
- Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks
- Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner
- Report on the status of accounts and transactions
- Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives
- Monitor sales metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
- Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth
- Occasional travel for client visits
We're looking for someone with excellent communication and negotiation skills as well as being customer service oriented. You'll also have:

- Ability to identify and engage potential new prospects from all industry sectors
