Sales Manager – Role Overview:

Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, the purpose of this role is to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, to ensure the business maintains its reputation as the established supplier of choice.

Sales Manager – Role Responsibilities:

Develop close relationships with new and existing key customer.

Actively seek and identify profitable market opportunities.

Use competitive intelligence and market data to develop pricing strategies.

Lead the entire sales process from prospecting and lead generation to proposal issuance and securing the booking

Assist the Business Unit Manager in the generation of annual booking and sales targets from both new and existing customers

Accurately forecast and report weekly on bookings/sales and margins, ensuring visibility within the business

Sales Manager – Candidate Requirements:

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills

Effective multi-tasking and time management skills.

Able to accurately produce and analyse numerical data with attention to detail.

The ability to develop and implement product marketing strategy, plan sales campaigns, prepare sales forecasts and lead / conclude the response and conclusion of all aspects of an RFP response.

IT literate and confident in the use of the Microsoft Office.

1-2 years’ demonstrable experience in business to business sales.

Some experience of bid/proposal writing

Valid UK driving licence and a willingness / ability to travel extensively is a requirement of the role.
