This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Internal Key Account Manager to provide sales administration support to the Corporate Development Manager for our thriving client based on the outskirts of Ware. This is a busy sales and customer service role on the front line, maintaining and growing the company brand in the construction marketplace through a deep and wide targeted approach to Account Management. The successful candidate will be providing world class service in response times to quotes, queries and questions ensuring the customer has the best experience in the market every time through a consistently high standard in both content and speed.

Forensic timely follow up of quotes and opportunities to maximise every chance to grow sales and build rapport and goodwill with customers. Supporting the CDM to create new opportunities and handling the daily administration tasks to ensure the CDM is not in any way held back from new business opportunities, by existing business administrative or customer service distractions. 

Working seamlessly with the CDM to evaluate , track, maintain, develop and grow spend of an existing group of customers and inbound sales leads to produce 20% minimum growth as a “business within a business” team.

The role is a full-time permanent position working from 8am – 5pm Monday – Friday, our client would also consider a 9am/9.30am start. This position offers a competitive salary depending on experience, plus commission, company bonus scheme and excellent company benefits. Due to our client’s location, candidates must have their own mode of transport.

Responsibilities and Duties include:

CDM SUPPORT

  • Daily support of the CDM workload & actions
  • Provide opportunities within existing accounts for the CDM to open up, develop and grow
  • Early warning call into CDM if you are noticing a downward trend
  • Preparation of all Tender documents for CDM to run through and sign off on a monthly basis

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

  • Increasing sales by contacting existing, lapsed and new clients
  • Booking appointments for the Business Development Managers
  • Developing client relationships positively
  • Quote preparation               
  • Quote follow up    
  • Development and support of existing accounts                       
  • Special Sign set up (Artwork/Forms & Signoff)                         
  • Maintain and Update contract pricing as required                 
  • Monitor trends in spend and product selection/consumption and feedback opportunities or concerns to CDM on a monthly basis
  • Sales Pipeline – all quotes must be loaded onto Sales-I and refreshed whether won/lost on daily basis
  • Sales Administration Tasks to ensure customer records and pricing are accurate and up to date, as required    
  • Liaising with Customer Service and Operations to progress all order queries/complaints      
  • Sourcing of one off products for particular clients as required
  • FEMS Support when required         
  • Creating BOM’s and Special Prices as required        
  • Nurturing and Development of new leads coming on board as required       
  • Arrange samples  for CDM or customer as required              
  • Answering overflow phone calls when required      

REPORTING

  • Daily, weekly and monthly reporting to Sales Manager as required   
  • Bringing together of monthly meeting agenda and noting minutes and actions as required
  • Spend reports for customers on a monthly basis

KPI’S

All Quotes responded to within 60 mins

All Quotes followed up same day

All Contact Managers raised within 60 mins

All orders to SOP by 15:00 & COP

All e-mails responded to within 60 mins

All BOMs and Special Prices set up on same day as order

Skills/Experience:

Previous experience in a similar role providing account management support

IT skills including Word, Excel, E-mail and CRM Databases

Excellent customer service skills

Committed to company growth

Reporting skills - need to be able and willing to report back to management

Ability to prioritise workload to maximize effective use of time

Team Player - good communication skills

Ability to work under pressure

Presentable, Literate, Articulate & Personable

Willing to go the extra mile with a positive , "can-do" attitude

Neat and tidy personality

Previous experience in telemarketing/account management

Market product awareness

Previous experience of CRM systems and Excel databases

Previous experience of Computer Systems and Excel databases
