POSITION: Senior Business Development Executive 

SALARY: Circa £45,000 plus commission OTE £85,000 Based on kpis

Overall Objective and Purpose of the Senior Business Development Executive Role

  • To secure new name business within the relevant market space in all areas of the company portfolio
  • To act as an advocate of the business in all customer interactions and within the external marketplace



Duties of the Senior BDE Role 

  • To ensure sales targets are achieved on a Monthly, Quarterly and Annual basis
  • To inform Sales strategies and liaise with Marketing to produce campaigns to increase market share, raising awareness of the brand and technology services offered 
  • To support the continued growth within the marketplace and ensure enhanced profile of the business
  • To competently and knowledgeably advise clients on the Cyber Security and networking solutions and managed services that best fulfill the clients requirements, carrying out full assessments and analysis of client needs
  • To ensure constant personal development  ensuring you keep your knowledge current and on point,through vendor training and update sessions and webinars
  • To negotiate pricing with clients to achieve sales in line with the companies pricing policies 
  • Accurate forecasting of anticipated sales along with regular activity reporting
  • Participation in planning and preparing marketing campaigns along with your own targeted campaigns
  • To build appropriate vendor relationships in support of the sales mission
  • To ensure that the CRM is up to date for all accounts, customer contacts, prospects, deals and opportunities
  • Assist with the mentoring  and development of junior sales staff members (not managing)
  • Attending networking events, which at times, may include activities outside of normal work hours
  • To take responsibility for and achieve personal and career advancement goals in line with the companies personal development program
  • Establish and coordinate planned visits at the customer location and at the company sites .
  • Company presentations to senior level business executives.
  • To identify , develop and bring on new accounts to manage as well as  to Identify up-sell opportunities within the existing accounts.


The Right Person will have:

  • Consistent new business sales record within the cyber security, networking, cloud, or managed services space
  • Knowledge of cyber security, networking vendors (Juniper, Palo Alto, Arista) LAN, Wi-Fi, WAN and Internet and connectivity network technologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, with the ability to 'win trust', selling on the quality and integrity of the brand
  • An ambitious, industrious and aspirational mind-set
  • Ability to use modern tools and social media platforms to develop and nurture contacts and create new business
  • Experienced selling into the SME market
  • Must be driven, self-motivated and disciplined
  • Good presentation skills
  • Committed, engaged, and responsible when dealing with customers
  • Eager to learn and continuously develop knowledge and understanding of the cyber security industry
