Join a growing team as a Business Development Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in identifying and realising growth opportunities. Your responsibilities include developing tailored solutions, establishing strategic partnerships, and expanding market presence within food manufacturing. Responsibilities:

  • Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities aligned with business strategy.
  • Build lasting relationships with new clients, understanding their needs, and proposing solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Achieve pre-agreed sales targets and maintain accurate records of activities.
  • Act as an ambassador, showcasing manufacturing capabilities to prospective customers.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver integrated solutions and support customer needs.
  • Be the primary point of contact for new customers, addressing inquiries and providing timely responses.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Uphold company values and ethical standards in all interactions.
  • Project manage and develop the business to ensure the correct level of customer focus and service.
  • Provide accurate short, medium, and long-term forecasts to support business planning.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable selling experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of business and marketing principles.
  • Ability to sell ideas, products, and services effectively.
  • Excellent analytical, numeracy, and organisational skills.
  • Strategic and creative mindset.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Technical skills to understand and propose products or solutions.
  • Proficient in IT applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Commercial awareness with a clear understanding of cost drivers in manufacturing.
  • Self-motivated with leadership qualities.
  • Full UK Driving License and passport are essential.
