Business Development Manager

£60,000 + OTE commissions

Hybrid / Remote / Cirencester

Our innovative technology client has built a solid reputation for providing high-quality products, solutions, and services that optimise their customer businesses for efficiency and ability for growth. They have a large portfolio of customers including many well-known names.

The Business Development Manager will nurture long-term relationships with clients, overseeing their own portfolio of customers, and developing new business.

The successful Business Development Manager will need strong communication, and relationship building skills, and be able to produce reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for account-related matters
  • Cultivate and sustain enduring customer relationships
  • Manage customer accounts, including contract negotiation to optimise profitability
  • Foster trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, stakeholders, and executive sponsors
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions and services aligned with customer objectives
  • Provide clear progress updates on initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive new business opportunities and identify areas for sales growth with existing clients
  • Forecast and monitor key account metrics such as quarterly sales results
  • Generate reports on account status
  • Assist in addressing challenging client requests or escalations

Skills/ Experience:

  • Proven experience Business Development Manager or Key Account Manager roles
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executives
  • Proficient with CRM software
  • Track record of delivering customer-focused solutions
  • Skilled in managing multiple account projects with attention to detail
  • Strong abilities in negotiation, presentation, and communication
  • Travel may be necessary
