The Client

The company specialise in the Production and Distribution of Cider into the UK marketplace.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join the company who is based in in the South West (South and West Somerset, Devon, Cornwall) who has experience selling Beers/Cider and has genuine passion for Cider.

The Role

  • Work closely with our Head of Sales other departments within our business to accelerate the growth of our premium, craft ciders in the South and West of Somerset and the Devon and Cornwall regions.
  • As a regional Business Development Manager you will be responsible for maintaining and growing our direct delivery business in your area.
  • You will also be responsible for maintaining and growing our third party  delivered business in your region, being retail customers who buy our ciders from wholesalers and other distributors.
  • Sales will be mainly on trade focused, but not limited to this, and you will be required to maintain and grow sales in other sectors of our business in the region as well. 
  • There will be some event work at different times of the year, and you will be required to assist the wider business team when needed.

The Candidate

  • Previous sales experience. 
  • Experience selling beers and/or ciders would be preferred but is not essential. 
  • Passion for craft beverages (especially cider) and their heritage and manufacture.
  • A sales-driven, competitive “go-getter” attitude.
  • A personable, capable communicator who is confident and able to present our products to customers or an audience. 
  • A creative individual with ideas and solutions to overcome obstacles to achieving sales.  Self-motivated person who is happy to work independently with the support of your manager.
  • A good listener, inside and outside the business, who values all contacts and information which support your sales ambitions. 
  • A well organised person who can make effective use of your time by planning and journey planning in order to maximise your sales opportunities.
  • To live within your sales region, with Somerset and Devon being preferred locations.   
  • To hold a clean driving licence at the time of application and ongoing is essential.
